Senior Program Manager – Youth Program

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

Project Overview: As part of Reality Gives’ future vision, we want to design a futuristic 21st-century skills Youth Lab. It would serve diverse needs of the youth living in the communities we serve, through programs that use English language learning and e-learning as two fundamental pillars. The Senior Program Manager will research, design, and implement this vital interdisciplinary project that will shapes the future of our organization and of thousands of youth from underserved communities.

Research and Study
• Study various youth and community center programs in India and other countries of similar context
• Identify best practices and challenges, applicable for us
• Collect the identifies needs from our community through interviewing youth

Design and Implement Program
• Come up with prototypes and ideas, fit for the goals set for the programs
• Identify and balance the needs of various stakeholders and strategy
• Test and identify issues, and make changes towards the desired outcomes
• Help setup monitoring and evaluation system in place to ensure the goals of the program are being met

Team Management and Communication
• Take assistance and support of junior and mid-level organisation staff for various functions of the role
• Invest stakeholders in the organisation into the project and transformation
• Identify skills needed for new program goals and train staff accordingly
• Work with Directors to build the culture of the organisation

Qualifications Required
• Bachelor’s degree in any field. Master’s degree will be bonus, but not required
• Either experience of working in education programs or qualification in Education from a reputed university, is required
• Experience working in program design, analysis and innovation, will be preferred
• Previous exposure to educational technology or other futuristic methods of education-delivery, will be preferred
• Professional fluency over English, required

Salary and logistics
• INR 60-75,000 per month. This is a mid-senior level position, and the salary will be negotiated during the interview process. We value talent and like to invest long-term, for sustainability
• The role will be based in Mumbai, with some travel to Delhi.

Senior Program Manager – English Program

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Project Overview: With last 10 years of experience working in the community, we see English to be both highly needed and in demand- for the betterment of the lives the youth lead. As we turn a decade old, and with the changing times – we want to redesign the English program to serve the needs of the youth, better. With around 38 teachers from the community we serve, we have a constant need for training and development of their language skills. A major part of the project is also to manage and develop the English Curriculum, which goes from level 0(pre-beginner) to level 3 (intermediate), as we believe the curriculum should to be continuously updated and refined.

Research and Study
• Study the various English programs in India and other countries of similar context
• Identify best practices and challenges, applicable for us
• Collect and identify needs from our community through interviewing youth


Design and Implement English Program
• Come up with prototypes and ideas, fit for the goals set for the programs
• Identify and balance the needs of various stakeholders and strategy

Training and Development
• Determine language learning needs of all staff
• Conduct various training sessions with the staff, to improve their English and language skills
• Work personally with each staff to support them in their growth paths


Curriculum Enrichment
• Manage and update the existing English curriculum, with changing needs
• Find ways to grow it and make its outreach larger by collaboration with other NGOs
• Collect feedback from Teachers and Students to make it more relevant


Team Management and Communication
